Implementing a risk-based approach in public procurement

This chapter discusses the development of a risk management approach in public procurement Malta. It recalls that is high-risk area and risks affecting processes are multiple can have concrete consequences on quality quantity services provided by governments. Given Malta has not yet developed national strategy procurement, provides key steps for country to develop such strategy. The also highlights practices at contracting authorities’ level different identified throughout cycle.
